I forgot to throw this one in. It’s from back in July…By now I’ve seen A-trak perform 4 times…And he’s amazing. (Remember, that DJ I blogged about awhile back?) The 3rd time I saw him, was at this Heineken Summer Friday Party in Tribeca. Here’s a non-sketch, picture I got with him personally. Cha-Ching! xo.

So. Today at work, a co-worker told me he ran into Gary Busey in the street near a local pizza joint. Now this guy isn’t the brightest bulb in the box, so, clearly, I did not believe him. But then another co-worker mentioned celebs being at this pizza place so I had to see for myself. So I walked to Broadway and 8th Street and there was a line of people around the block. There I found a LOAD of celebs…No A-listers, as per usual, but still….xo.

Larry David Strikes Again!

I think it really benefits me that Larry David is filming Curb in Soho this summer. The other night I was grabbing drinks (fine, and fries with basil mayo…) at Soho Park and Larry David and the big fat guy from the show, walked by and then came back, and the fat guy came in to ask the hostess how long the wait was. Larry stayed outside looking peeved and a little scared. Good thing I snapped a picture to capture that emotion. xo.

The other day my man texted me saying he saw a celeb but he didn’t know the guy’s name. He was like “I know he was definitely in Arrested Developement.” Well, that didn’t help me because I’ve only seen a handful of episodes of that show so I lost interest in what he was saying. Later on, my man and I were walking to the N-R-W at Prince St and we were around Broadway and Great Jones-ish and he was like “this is where I saw my celeb sighting.” And THEN we saw a whole bunch of those “HADDAD” trailers. You know, the ones you see around the city when they’re filming a show/movie? WELL. One of the trailers said “Curb Your Enthusiasm Inc” and I was like “omg, they must be filming the show” and THEN we walked by a trailer with a “LARRY” label on the door! So I was thinking that Larry David MUST be in that trailer. (Side Note: Larry David was not the celeb my boo saw, he’s smart enough to know who that is) Clearly, I couldn’t have just opened the door. So we kept walking to the subway, turned a corner, and there, in the flesh, Larry David filming an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Ahh!!! Such an epic moment. xo.

I-Can’t Believe it-Man

so. randomly at my job. an ACTUAL celeb will come in to get dressed for an event or what not. so the other day, we get a phone call from this stylist and she’s like “oh. yea. can me and Iman come in and check out the place?” so everyone starts bugging out but then we were like “wait. maybe it’s another stylist…or someone that is not the famous model.” or, “they probably won’t show” and then. waltzing in, Iman and her stylist. she is SO beautiful in real life. does not look 55 like she is. she was so polite and humble. i wish all celebs were like that…anyway, in respect of how wonderful she was, i could only get a creeper pic. sorry! xo.

Again. I have failed my “fans” and frankly, I have also failed myself. I spotted 2 more celebs and was unable to creep a pic of them. 1 – Jason Schwartzman walking his dog with a girl MUCH taller than him, in the East Village whilst I was walking to work (I was way too groggy to get out the cam PLUS he and I had eye contact. I find that to be rude on my part)

2 – Rachel Dratch. I was walking around Soho on my lunch break and she was just standing outside of a building on the phone. I stopped and stared for a bit. She’s still holding onto that baby weight…xo.

For every 10 D-lists, I get 1 MAJOR celeb. So. Last week, my friend Rudy, who always lets me know the celebs he spots, (not sure if it’s to “help me out” or to just make me jealous to the max), texted me and goes “Guy Pearce and Seth Rogen spotting.” Now. Who the F cares about Guy Pearce? And frankly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of his work, so I’d never recognize that one in a million years. BUT! Seth Rogen! Omg! That’s just bananas. So the other day, my bf and I went to a drunk brunch, by ourselves, and I told him how jealous I was of Rudy for spotting Mr. Rogen. So. After brunch, my bf and I decide to use his Cocktail Compass app on his iPhone and search for a bar on a fine Saturday morning. We ended up at “One and One” located on 1st Street and 1st Ave…weird. Anyway. We’re having a drink and my man goes “there he is” and (mind you the Seth convo was at least 30 mins prior to this) and I go “who?” and I turn around to see where he’s pointing and Seth Rogen is walking past this bar with some semi-fug girl! So I quickly grabbed my pink Sony Cybershot out of my leopard print Jessica Simpon clutch and ran to the window of the bar, and snapped a WONDERFUL picture of….the back of Seth Rogen’s head. I swear it is him. Believe! xo.

So. Famous muralist/artist Shepard Fairey had an opening at the Deitch Gallery in SOHO a couple weekends ago (which I wasn’t cool enough to get invited to). And there was an after party in which he was DJing. (At this really sketchy indoor mini mall in Chinatown). And I went to the after party cause my bf loves the universally known DJ, Atrak, who was also performing, who HAPPENS to be brothers with one of the dudes from Chromeo. Crazy right?! Check it out.
